No, direct admission is not valid at IIMS Pune. Admission to all the courses at the college is entirely entrance-based. Candidates can pursue full-time PGDM courses from IIMS Pune. Candidates seeking for admission must qualify for either CAT/ XAT/ CMAT or MAH CET entrance exam with a valid score. Later on, the final admission is done as per the performance of candidates in PI round.

RIIM Pune offers a full-time postgraduate diploma in management. The PGDM course is offered to students who fulfil the admission criteria of the course. The basic eligibility is to pass graduation from a recognised university. Furthermore, admissions are entirely entrance-based. Hence, students must appear for the respective exam to be considered for admission. RIIM Pune accepts various national-level management exams, including MAT.
