Yes, definitely you 'll gone get admission on the basis of JEE Mains if you got 85 percentile in your JEE Mains exam then you can take direct admission in B.Tech CSE, if not then you can appear in university's entrance test called LPUNEST. Let me tell you Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech here in LPU in previous qualified exam you need to Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST.

Candidates who qualify for CLAT must pay the fee for their respective courses, which includes components such as Tuition Fee, Examination Fee, Security Deposit, Hostel Charges (if applicable), etc. Other than the course fee, candidates are required to pay a fee for CLAT application fee. For General /OBC /PWD /PIO /OCI /NRI category candidates, the application fee is INR 4,000; for SC /ST /BPL category candidates, the application fee is INR 3,500.

Every year, the cut off marks for the CLAT exam are affected due to the following factors:

  • The difficulty level of the exam. In case the question paper is easy then the CLAT cut offs are expected to go high and vice-versa.
  • Total number of applications received. If the total applications received are less then the cut off is expected to be relaxed. 
  • Total candidates qualifying CLAT exam. If the total number of qualifying candidates is less than the total seats then cut off goes low

To conclude this analysis, whether NLU Patiala is a better option to pursue BA LLB or not, there are various parameters like infrastructure, fees, placements, etc.

Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law offers a total of 214 seats for admission to BA LLB (Hons). The admission are based on CLAT score. For admission to BA LLB (Hons) course at RGNUL candidates have to register through CLAT portal. Registered candidates for CLAT 2025 counselling will be called by Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law through five provisional merit lists, each released by the Consortium of CLAT. Candidates, who have been allocated a seat in the provisional lists and applied for revision, should check the status of their seat in the CLAT provisonal lists.

RGNUL BA LLB admission is done through CLAT. For admission through CLAT candidates have to submit the application fee, other than the course fee.

At the time of filling RGNUL application through CLAT 2024 registration portal, candidates need to submit the following documents:

  • Class 10 and Class 12 marksheet
  • Class 10 and Class 12 certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree along with the mark sheet
  • Migration certificate
  • Caste certificate (if required)
  • Certificate of person with disability (if applicable)
  • PwD affidavit (if applicable)

NLU Patiala admission to the BA LLB (Hons) course is based on valid CLAT scores, followed by CLAT counselling. Looking at the closing cutoff of the past three-years the rank was between 1123 and 1250. Below is year-wise closing rank for CLAT:
