SRM is a very good university. I can't do this comparison. I can only give you an overview of LPU since I am a faculty at LPU. The campus of 600+ acres – It may be not of interest to a student as of the Vast area, you'll only be having a particular block for your academics, eight hostels for boys and Six for girls. Your will need a place to stay so hopefully there's more than enough space to accommodate you. That's a plus point. Security measures for girls - If you're a girl and decide to reside in a hostel, you'll have to mark your attendance daily in the hostel to the floor warden and be in the hostel within the entry timings that are 6:00-6:30 in winters and 07:30 in summers probably. So if you don't enter into hostel till that time, you have to face the warden and see for any consequences. That's a bit harsh. While girls may not like this but I am sure their parents would surely do. But if you want to live somewhere else, there are plenty of PGs near the University. You can decide what's best for you, but you'll be super safe inside the hostels than in PGs that's for sure. You can go to the library from 08:00 PM to 12:00 AM. But will be accompanied by a guard from your hostel to the library. More than 200 courses are offered to range from Diploma to PG - You are probably going to find the best course for you among these. That's for sure. Another plus point is that 75% aggregate attendance is mandatory. You'll need to maintain a baseline of 75% aggregate attendance in order to be eligible to give exams. That's harsh and they won't accept any medical leaves or anything. Literally nothing they will accept from you. If you fall below 75% , you are not going to be eligible for final exams until you possess a good percentage in the last term. In that case, they'll provide you with some grace. That's a good point. Also, they have marking criteria for attendance. As your attendance increase or decrease, you'll have marks ranging from 2-to 5. That's for you to decide whether it's a plus point for you or not. Placement - Yes. Students do get placed from the university and a lot of drives are conducted from various companies. No doubt most of the drives are CSE/IT-based. Companies with decent packages come in. You'll have to compete with everyone to grab the opportunity but it'll be worth it. Tons of events - May it be Cultural, Sports, or Academic. There are numerous events held on the University campus itself.

In the education sector, Dayanand Sagar, Acharya Institute of Technology, C V Raman, LPU, and Techno India are performing well. I will provide the specifics of the EEE placements because I am an LPU alumnus. One of my buddies graduated from LPU with a B.Tech in EEE and was hired by Infineon with a good compensation package. For EEE/ECE students, LPU has a solid placement record. Every year, around 500 organizations, both national and global, come to LPU for job placement. BOSCH, Microsoft, Code Nation, Adobe, and others are just a handful of the companies that hire EEE/ECE students. LPU's highest package for the ECE programme is 31 LPA, with an average package of 5.1 LPA. The nicest thing about LPU in terms of placement is that they provide placement classes to all students who choose to do so starting in their first year. They can utilize this to prepare themselves for placements until the pre-final year because employers will begin visiting to recruit students in the pre-final year. This perhaps means you are working presently and hence can not spare time during daytime. However such information is hard to get. I don't know much about the IHM but I have some sort of idea for aerospace engineering at LPU. One of LPU's most popular degrees is B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering.
