Dear Supriya, you can migrate to LPU but there are certain conditions which has to be satisfied:
Candidate must have completed his/her 1st year without any backlog/reappear. Candidate must have the minimum percentage required for eligibility qualification of the current year (in which a student is seeking migration). Student has to submit Migration Certificate and character Certificate from the head of present institute/university from which he/she is migrating. Hi Dear,
I think LPU is better than the mentioned name in the question. As per the LPU website, the eligibility for B.Tech Lateral Entry is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (engineering. ). (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 years. After 10+2 (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or equivalent. LPU NEST as of now is for scholarship purpose only. Placements: VIT HAS AVERAGE PACKAGE OF 6.05 Lacs While Thapar has Average Package of 6.69 Lacs. Here Thapar is Better. But Thapar has more % of it's students in CS and IT then VIT. Many say that Thapar had better quality of Student But As of Data of 2019 Even 65 Percentile students could get admission in Thapar.

As per my knowledge, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is one of the best engineering colleges in India if you're comparing between Thapar Institute and BITS Pilani. Amazing faculty, infrastructure, campus life, comfortable accommodation, food, and placement facilities make TIET worth it. Last year, almost 80 - 85% of students got placed with good packages in big companies like KPMG, IBM, Microsoft, Adobe, etc. Since the faculty there have a strong corporate network, Internships provided to the students are quite good.
