IIT Ropar hostel fees vary for different courses. For last year, the semester-wise hostel fee for B.Sc. and B.Ed courses was INR 31500. This is valid for new admissions only till December last year. Details regarding the same are tabulated below:

Yes, IIT Ropar has eight hostels,  six for boys (Satlej, Beas, Sindhu, Mercury, Jupiter, and Neptune) and two for girls (Ravi, Venus) to house approximately 3000 students. IIT Ropar is a residential institute; therefore, all the students are required to reside in the hostels. All the hostel rooms are spacious and have all the basic furniture, such as a study table, chair, cupboard, single bed, etc. The rooms are allocated on a single and double occupancy basis. IIT Ropar hostels consist of dedicated rooms for recreational activities, providing a holistic environment for the students.

For the General AI quota, the IIT Mandi CSE cutoff for 2025 ranged between 3087 and 3123. For IIT Patna, the cutoff range was between 3215 and 3377. Similarly, for IIT Ropar, the cutoff ranged from 2357 to 2512. Therefore, considering these ranges, the IIT Mandi cutoff for CSE was comparatively more competitive for admission among engineering aspirants compared to IIT Patna, while it was less competitive than IIT Ropar, which had a more stringent cutoff for CSE admission.

IIT Ropar BTech cutoff 2025 was from 1253 and 5699, in the OBC category. Candidates looking for admission at this institution should strive to attain a rank of 5699 or lower for a better chance at admission to IIT Ropar. However, please note that the cutoff ranks vary for each round, year and category. Below are the last round specialisation cutoff ranks for the OBC AI quota.
