Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) is a government-funded institution situated in Kota, Rajasthan, India. It was established in 2006 with the aim of enhancing technical education in the state. RTU functions as an affiliating university, meaning it collaborates with various colleges and institutes to deliver its educational programs. As of the year 2023, RTU maintains affiliations with over 200 colleges and institutes throughout Rajasthan. The university receives its financial support from the Government of Rajasthan and provides a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses encompassing engineering, technology, management, architecture, and pharmacy. RTU is recognised for its active involvement in research and development, hosting several research centers and laboratories to facilitate these activities.

Rajasthan Technical University, situated in Kota, Rajasthan, was founded in 2006 by the Government of Rajasthan. It serves as the affiliating body for approximately 68 Engineering Colleges, 03 B.Arch institutions, 16 MCA Colleges, 39 MBA Colleges, 31 M.Tech Colleges, 01 M.Arch program, and 01 Hotel Management and Catering Institute.

RTU Kota has gained recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The university offers a comprehensive range of technical education courses, including B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, and BHMCT. RTU functions as an affiliating university, overseeing a network of colleges that provide various degree programs, including Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), and Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT).

As of April 2011, RTU has affiliations with 202 colleges. Among them, B.Tech programs are available at nine government-funded institutes and 109 private institutions. MBA programs are offered at seven government-funded institutes and 122 private ones. For MCA degrees, there are seven government-funded institutes and 25 private institutions. M.Tech programs are available in 24 colleges, and BHMCT programs are offered in four colleges. The MLSU admission process 2024 is based on the merit of the candidate's previous qualifying exams for UG and PG programs. However, for Ph.D admissions, MLSU selection criteria is based on their performance in both the Research Entrance Test (RET) and subsequent interviews. The admission process for undergraduate and postgraduate programs is based on the results of the last qualifying examination. The university also accepts scores from the CAT and CMAT.
