Haridwar University (formerly Roorkee College of Engineering) accepts the following entrance exam scores for admission to M.Tech programs:

1. GATE ( Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering)
2. UPSEE or Uttarakhand State Entrance Examination
3. UTU/ Entrance exam for admission into Uttarakhand Technical University
4. A university level entrance test held by Haridawar University or otherwise known as IPU CET.

As for the placement statistics HU has a rather decent record, although the number of companies coming for recruitment is constantly increasing. According to the university's website, some of the top recruiters include:

- Adobe
- Amazon
- IBM
- Infosys
- Microsoft
- TCS
- Wipro

But in Haridwar University (GKV) to get an admission in B.Tech it might slightly hard if got 260 marks in JEE. :The eligibility criteria of GKV Haridwar depend on the cutoff marks and they differ in every session, however, the following information will help to gain an overview about the cutoff marks.

- 2022 cutoff: The general category candidates are expected to score in the range of 280- 300 marks.
- 2021 cutoff: General Category:- 250-270 Marks

Hence, cutoff list for Haridwar University also known as Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya (GKV) is generally comes in July/ August every year. Here are some relevant dates:

- Online application form submission: April-May
- Entrance exam (if applicable): May during to early June
- Result declaration: June-July
- Cutoff list release: July August
- Counseling and admission: August – September

According to my knowledge as of October 2023, it has been observed that the JEE Main cut off for Haridwar University does differ according to domains and categories . Some of the different programme cutoffs are given below:

 

- _Computer Science and Engineering_: Ranges from 29,804-50,202

- _Electrical Engineering_: Ranges from 47,363-61,019

- _Electronics and Communication Engineering_: Ranges from 42,961-56,652

- _Mechanical Engineering_:Ranges from  39,889-64,382
