VIT Vellore has its own entrance examination (VITEEE) for admission, and the cutoff rank is different every year depending upon the number of candidates and the seats available. A cutoff of 3500 can be competitive for certain branches, but more sought-after or competitive programs such as Computer Science or Electronics could have a higher cutoff. Decision between St. Petersburg College (USA) and Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT, India) for B.Tech is based on your preference. VIT is a highly rated private college in India, offering high-quality education, great infrastructure, and very good placement figures with firms like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google. It provides more options in specialised B.Tech courses. In contrast, St. Petersburg College is a smaller school with a lower cost of living but whose B.Tech courses might not give the same level of exposure and placement prospects as VIT. For improved career opportunities, VIT is overall a better choice.
