The Integrated M.Tech. in Software Engineering at VIT Chennai is a five-year program designed for students to have an extensive knowledge on software engineering and development. Admission into this program is pegged mainly on the candidate's achievement at the Higher Secondary Examination which is a 12th grade supplemented with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as a basic requirement. The crashing aggregate qualification set for a general category applicants is at seventy percent in PCM. For applicants under SC/ST and those from regions of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and the Eastern part of the country, the marks are lowered by ten percent.

A small amount is required for books, uniforms, etc., with practical training material ranging from INR 5,000 to INR 10,000 in that academic year. Hostel and Mess charges, if applicable, vary, but are usually in the range of INR 20,000 to INR 40,000 per year. To gain admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, candidates are selected based on their performance in the qualifying undergraduate examination. While preference is given to those with valid CAT scores, there is no separate quota reserved exclusively for CAT-qualified candidates. Therefore, taking the TANCET exam is not a requirement for admission to Sathyabama's MBA program.
Regarding seat allocation, Sathyabama reserves 15% of the total seats for Management Quota admissions. Additionally, there are allocations for NRI and Foreign students, as well as other specific quotas.
