To get into the boy's hostel at VIT Vellore, freshers have to furnish several documents. These are photocopy of admission offer letter, photocopy of 10th & 12th standard marks, photocopy of Transfer cert., Photocopy of community cert. and photocopy of Aadhar card. Also, the students have to provide four passport sized photographs and a demand draft for INR 30000 towards hostel charges of first semester only. The hostel fees for a year comes to nearly INR 50000 INR per student which makes the total INR60000 INR for the academic year. In addition, students are required to produce medical fitness certificate and undertaking form which can be obtained from VIT website.

Admission to GRG School of Management Studies for Women (GRGSMS) is somewhat selective, based on the applicant's academic records and scores obtained in the entrance examinations.
