Yes, SRM IST MBA graduates can apply for government/semi-government job profiles. To secure the job, candidates have to go through the selection procedure as prescribed by the job posting department. Some of the job profiles that SRMS IST MBA graduates can apply for are:

  • Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Grade B Officer
  • Quality Assurance Manager
  • Probationary Officer in Banks, etc.

There are five non-functional electives in the SRM IST MBA Business Analytics curriculum. The electives are Research Methods in Business, Main Project, and Business Data Mining. Additionally, students can also choose any of the two subjects: Data Sciences Using R and Marketing Analytics.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology MBA seat allotment is done based on applicants scores in the accepted exams. Candidates get a seat based on their scores in SRMJEEM/GMAT/CAT/MAT/TANCET/CMAT/NMAT/SAT. The sanctioned seat count is also considered. There are 1,500 MBA seats at different SRM campuses. This seat count is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology MBA admission is entrance-based. Before applying for the PG programme, aspirants shall ensure that they fulfil the course-specific eligibility requirements. The eligible candidates can visit the SRM IST Chennai official website to register and apply. Applications are then shortlisted based on applicants scores in MAT/CAT/XAT/NMAT/CMAT/TANCET MBA/SRMJEEM/SRMJEEE. 

Shortlisted candidates are then called for the personal interview round. After final selection, the seat allotment procedure is carried out. Candidates can then pay the admission fee amount to confirm their seat.

The university fee structure is cumulative of several components, such as caution deposit, tuition fee, hostel fee, and more. A few of these components are one-time payable, while some have are charged annually/semesterly. SRM IST Chennai MBA tuition fee ranges between INR 1.9 Lacs and INR 11.5 lakh. Moreover, the one-time fee range between INR 1,200 and INR 11,000 and the hostel charges range between INR 1.45 Lacs and INR 3.3 lakh.

The candidate seeking admission in the MBA program at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College needs to satisfy the eligibility of having a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks, with a relaxation of 5% for reserved categories.
