The following are recognised by the University of Oxford English proficiency tests:
IELTS: At least a score of 7.5 overall, with a minimum score of 7.0 for each component
TOEFL: Minimum score of 110 overall, with a minimum score of 22 for listening, 24 for reading, 25 for speaking, and 24 for writing
C1 Advanced: At least a score of 191 overall, with a minimum score of 185 for each component
C2 Proficiency: A minimum score of 191 overall, with a minimum score of 185 for each component
Oxford Test of English: Online test that covers speaking, listening, reading, and writing

Studying in Oxford univeristy is quite hard for the students. Competition is very high. Around 23000 applications are there. Among them only 3300 applicants are getting admission. Acceptance rate is around 20%. Admission test is conducted which is at a decent level.

 University of Oxford have own shuttle system but for the radius of 500m. Other than that student have to travel to college by their own mode of transportation or by public transport.

There are many Indian restaurants near the Oxford university like Dishoom Permit Room Oxford, Tribe, The Standard, Dosa park, Old Delhi, Mowgli street food Oxford, Currydor, Shezan Chutneys Indian Braserrie, Curry Adda, The Gurkha Palace Restaurant, etc., in the radius of 0.1 to 2 km.

Indian studnets manage their food in UK by cooking itself in a group of four. They cook as per their need and taste. This reduce their expense. They can go to some Indian restaurants to do the dinner or lunch.

You can find many accomodation in the university itself or outside the university. There are many apartment and hostel near the univeristy which is available all the time. Living in the campus itself is much costlier other than outside the campus. I would suggest you to find the apartment and live in a group which reduces the expense. The monthly expense to live outside the campus is around INR 1.5 Lacs per month which is a nominal price.

Yes, you can cover your education expenses from the scholarship but there are some limitations of the scholarship as you know studying in Oxford is very costly so Oxford university only offers a maximum of 50 percent of scholarship. There will be a need of some financial help from the family also or you can pay by own by doing some part time or full time job near your city or in the state itself.

Yes average student can get scholarship as per the score in their 12 boards exams as well as college marksheets. Other than that they can get scholarship through IELTS or through some international scholarship scheme conducted through particular universities. Oxford university has many scholarships test conducted every year in which a student can get a maximum of 50%waiver in their tution fees.

Applicants must complete a UG degree with a minimum GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or above for MSc at Oxford. Mentioned below are the University of Oxford admission requirements for MSc courses:

  • Complete a first-class undergraduate degree in a related subject
  • Must have at least two years of professional work experience (vary as per the specializations)
  • GRE and GMAT are optional for international students
  • Submit the proof of English language proficiency
  • Provide three Letters of Recommendation
