Living on-campus or off-campus completely depends on the students and their choices.

Living on campus, students have full access to libraries, labs and other facilities beyond college hours. They get security 24/7. They don't have to manage their accommodation and other utilities. Students living on campus get to spend time with each other and build a network. The con of living on campus is that it might be more expensive than off campus housing and students have less freedom as compared to off-campus housing.
