Indiana University awards the Rising Start Scholarship to international female students. This is a one-time scholarship of USD 3,000 and is presented to only one student every other year in Spring as a part of the International Women’s Day Conference. To be eligible for this scholarship, the female international applicants must be a freshman student at the time of nomination and have a CGPA of 3.0.

Yes, IU offers merit scholarships to international students. Global Engagement Scholarships are offered to international freshmen each year. These are the merit-based competitive scholarships that usually ranges from USD 1,000 – USD 11,000 per year. These awards are renewable for four years. The selection for these scholarships is done on the basis of overall assessment of the information provided by students to IU. No separate scholarship application is required.
