The University of Maryland, Baltimore County ranks at #127 position in the national universities category ranking in 2026. This university was ranked at #144 position in the previous year. This ranking in the U.S. shows that UMBC ranking has improved in 2026.

General merit-scholarships of UMBC do not require a separate application and students shall be automatically reviewed for the merit scholarship, provided the timely submission of the application. Incoming first-year students are advised to submit their admissions applications by the Early Action application deadline which was in Early Nov 2024
