The CSULB acceptance rate is 40% which means only 40 people get enrolled for UG or PG programs out of 100. The tough selection criteria are required to filter out the students with low performances, but students shouldn't be discouraged and instead focus in building an all rounder profile to maximise their chacnes of selection.

International students are mandated to maintain a 2.5 GPA by the university, however it is suggested to at least score a GPA of 3 to maximise one's chances of selection.
In addition, the students must have a 4-year acceptable baccalaureate degree from an institute recognised by a regional accrediting institute. For undergraduate admissions at CSULB, students must score a minimum GPA of 3 on a scale of 4.
