Whether Harvard University is "better" than Boston University (BU) is determined by a variety of factors including individual preferences of the student as while Harvard is widely regarded as one of the world's most prominent universities BU is likewise a highly rated university, however Harvard's reputation usually outperforms that of BU.
Moreover both the universities provide top notch academics however when it comes to rankings it can be concluded that Harvard does outperform Boston.

For admission to Boston University, international students are required to submit an English language proficiency score. For the same reason, students can submit an IELTS score. If students want to take admission into the undergraduate courses of BU, then they are required to submit an overall score of 7 or higher in IELTS. In place of IELTS score, students seeking admission to undergraduate courses can submit Duolingo /IELTS

Every year, Yale University admits international students through Early Decision as well as Regular Decision.

For the class of 2027,  Yale received a 7,744 applications for the Early Decision intake. Out of these, 776 applications were accepted, making the Yale University Early Decision acceptance rate stand at 10.02%.

When it comes to the Regular Decision intake, 44,506 candidates applied to Yale. With merely 1,499 students getting admitted, the Yale University Regular Decision acceptance rate has been recorded at 3.37%.

Yale University and Harvard University are a part of the top universities worldwide and it is very difficult to get into these universities. Harvard University acceptance rate stands at 3.4%. In comparison, the Yale University acceptance rate is recorded to be 4.5%, which again shows that the university is extremely selective.

In Fall 2022, Yale received more than 50,000 applications. However, only about 2,200 got enrolled in the university for their higher education. Thus, it can be seen that with the Yale University acceptance rate of merely 4.5%, the university is extremely competitive to get into.
