The Southeast Missouri State University acceptance rate is 86%. This shows that students with sound academic performance can easily get into the university as it follows easy-to-moderate selection criteria. However, the student must showcase their excellence in high school performance; ACT and SAT scores; and English language proficiency. Also, the students who provide convincing letters of recommendation, personal statements, and relevant experience in the chosen field are preferred over the other students. Candidates with unique ideas and innovative interests will surely stand out and it is suggested that applicants should highlight their unique experiences, interestsand perspectives to help the examiner or the interviewer understand the applicant's potential and students must talk about experiences and challenges that they've overcome as that shows how the candidate takes on tasks during tough times also coming to the essential part students are suggested to have strong SOPs and LOR which can persuade the examiner to give them admission at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

According to Cleveland State University, international students should strive for a cumulative GPA of at least 2.3 on a 4-point scale. Students are required to submit their GPA along with their high school transcripts, resumes, essays, reference letters, and results from standardized tests and the English language proficiency exam. International students are given preference over those who just have outstanding grades if they have relevant experience or have taken relevant courses in the past. Participation in extracurricular activities also gives their resume a unique and eye-catching advantage over others.
