No, Wake Forest is a tier 2 university, per Ivy Scholars. Though the institute is among the best private universities in Winston-Salem, it is still some way off the best universities in the world.
The institute offers good value for money, with job offers from top tech companies like Amazon, Google, Deloitte and Meta, however, its faculty network isn't known to have many Nobel Prize winners, and it does not have exclusive access to the latest technologies in the market, that some of the Ivy League universities in US, do.

Based on the MSU acceptance rate shared officially, it stands at 84.8% for the recent year 2025. This is a high acceptance rate, which means the university is not that selective.
International students are required to meet the MSU admission eligibility requirements to make sure that they have a high chance at this university. Early application increases chances, with early action acceptance rates near 90%.
