To be admitted to the University of Denver, a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 is required, with no band score below 5.5. This criteria is applicable to both undergraduate and graduate programs. Achieving a score of 5.5 in IELTS may not meet the university's minimum English language proficiency requirement, and prospective students should aim for the required IELTS score to enhance their chances for admission. Additionally, it's essential to note that specific graduate programs may set higher English language proficiency test score requirements, so it is recommended to check the particular requirements for your prefered programme of study.

When you apply to University of Denver, they'll automatically check if you're eligible for merit scholarships for international students without needing another application. Remember, these scholarships usually last for more than one year, but they might not cover all your expenses, except in rare cases.

If you send DU your SAT or ACT scores and class rank details along with your application, it can improve your chances of getting this merit assistance.

Merit Scholarships for International Students:

  1. Merit-based:

    • First-year students: $10,000 to $31,000 per year
    • Transfer students: $5,000 to $21,000 per year
