As per the latest statistics, the College of Business and College of Education graduates secured the most jobs among all colleges under the Minnesota State University network, with both colleges having employment rates worth 98.1%.
The College of Allied Health & Nursing was the next best, with overall placement rate of 97.4%.

Tim Walz, the 41st governor of Minnesota is a notable alumni of MSU Mankato. Walz graduated with a MS in Educational Leadership from the institute in 2001.
Walz was also a nominee from the Democratic party for the US Vice Presidential Elections of 2024, and has formerly served as a non-commissioned officer in the United States Army.
