As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic, Harvard College is extending the standardized testing policy through the 2021-2022 application cycle. They will allow students to apply for admission without the need for ACT or SAT test results. In line with Harvard's universal acceptance policy, standardized tests are one of the most common. Achievements in and out of the classroom during the high school years - including community involvement, employment, and support provided to student families are considered part of our process. However, students who find themselves limited in the activities they can pursue as a result of the current outbreak of coronavirus will not be disadvantaged as a result, nor will students who can only submit pass / fail marks or other similar marks in their papers. Students who do not submit the standardized examination next year will not be disadvantaged in the application process. Their applications will be considered based on what they have provided, and they are encouraged to submit any letters they believe will convey their high school achievements and their promise for the future. Applicants may choose to submit formal examination scores or test scores to report them if they wish. Because standardized test results are used for academic counseling, placement, and institutional research, students who enroll without applying for examinations will be invited, but not necessarily, to submit summer exam points, before graduating from Harvard.
