While applying to the MIT USA, all international students are required to pay the application fee. Students must note that the MIT application fee is the same for UG & PG programs, except for the MBA program:

Low-income first year students at MIT are provided a first year grant worth USD 2,000 (INR 1.75 L).
This sum is granted to help with the costs associated with the extra expenses such as sheets, towels & warm coats for the bedroom. The sum is split equally between the Fall & Spring semesters & is only available to first-year students.
