Yes, the American University Dubai is in partnership with the Georgia Tech. The Manchester Metropolitan University, Wake Forest University, Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, and the Loyola University are some other popular unis with which it maintains strategic connections. Thanks to these partnerships, the university provides study abroad opportunities to its students.

The university's operations are handled by a Board of Directors. Elias N. Bou Saab founded the AUD Dubai in 1995. He still continues to serve as the member of the Governing Board. Other members of the board include Chairman Justin G. Cooper, President Kyle Long, and Vice Chairman Habib Al Mulla.

Long was appointed President in 2019, before giving it up on an interim basis to Dr Lance de Masi in 2023. He again returned as president in 2024.

The American University in Dubai has a very simple application process. To apply for admissions, students need to follow the steps mentioned below.

  • Create an account on the official university website
  • Go to the "Apply Now" tab
  • Fill out the online application
  • Fill all important fields and upload the required documents
  • Pay the AUD Dubai Application fee worth INR 10.2 K
  • Submit the application

The university will contact the students through mail. If accepted, students would be required to pay the initial fee deposit to confirm their enrollment.

Yes, students can study at the AUD Dubai without IELTS. However, students would need to prove English proficiency in a different way. This can be done by either submitting scores for other tests like TOEFL, EmSAT, or English Placement Tests. Waivers may be given based on how well students have done in their past studies, especially the English exam.
