The acceptance rate at the UT Arlington is around 81%. For admission to UG programs, the applicants must have complete high school. For PG programs, a Bachelor's degree is required and standardized scores may also be required. Also, international applicants are required to submit English language proficiency score.

The University of Texas at Arlington requires GRE for admission to MSc in CS course. At least 305 score in GRE (Verbal + Quantitative) is required. The detailed requirements are given below:
- An UG degree, preferably in the area related to CS, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
- An overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
