With a 57% regular acceptance rate, Virginia Tech is moderately tough to get into especially if students have low academic performance. The moderate acceptance rate shows that the university follows a lenient selection criterion where it gives priority to factors such as rigor of secondary school record, academic GPA, standardized test score, application essay, recommendation, and more.

If we look at the Iowa State University placement rate for 2021-22, then for BS graduates, it is 97%. In case, of the MS and M. Engineering graduates, the placement rate is 98%.

Yes, being an international student, you can work on-campus. However, to work on-campus, you need to maintain F-1 status, not work more than 20 hours while the school is in session, and not displace a U.S. resident. Note that you may be employed full-time during holidays and vacation periods, if you are eligible and want to register for the next school term.
