The West Virginia University System accommodates three campuses, based in: Morgantown, Keyser & Beckley. While the Morgantown & Keyser campuses are located in close proximity to each other, the Beckley campus is based 273 km away from them.
The institute maintains a quality student environment at each of its campuses, offering access to some of the best state-of-the-art & research facilities.

Both institutions are very similar in terms of their selectiveness at admitting students, with, West Virginia University acceptance rate standing at 77%, while that of University of Rhode Island stands at 75%.
There isn't much between them & securing a seat at either institute is challenging to similar extents, with WVU, being marginally easier to secure admissions at.

WVU is a popular recruitment destination for some of the bets for-profit & non-profit organizations in the US & abroad. The university graduates are known for their highly-skilled & industry ready nature, & as a result are very much in the eyes of some major industry players.
Among the institute's prominent recruiters are: Northrop Grumman, WVU Medicine, WVU Hospital & the US Army among others.

Yes, the West Virginia University accepts GRE scores for admissions to some graduate courses, but the test score requirement varies with different courses.
Students enrolling in programs that requires GRE must send their scores via ETS before the review of admission application. The WVU institution code is 5904.

There are two intakes for Fairfield University admissions which are Fall and Spring. Typically, the Fall intake begins in late August, whereas the Spring semester begins in January.

The GPA requirements at WVU varies for different courses, with the minimum GPA required for undergraduate admissions being 2.5 on a 4.0. scale. Some courses require a GPA of 3.0. or more for a seat.
Some admissions are also granted on a GPA of 2.0., depending on how well a candidate performs as part of a holistic assessment of its application & CV by the institute.
Students interested in merit-based scholarships need to maintain a minimum GPA of 2.75 or higher, however, the institute does take into account some other factors such as past academic & non-academic achievements.

Though, there is no clarity about the institution's tier level, its research department is certainly among the best in the United States, as it maintains its standing as an R1 institution as per a media release posted in February.
R1 universities are known for a high volume of research activity & expenditure. The institute granted more than 200 doctoral degrees & spent over USD 246 million on research based activity in the year 2023, of which USD 100 million came from federal agencies.
