According to top-ranking publisher NYU ranks #30 in the National Universities in 2025 in US. In 2024, this university ranked at #30. This shows that the university's position improved in the US specific rankings in the year 2025. As per the Times Higher Education rankings for 2025, NYU ranks at #19 position in the U.S. for 2025.

New York University has been ranked at #43 in 2025 and #38 in 2024 showing overall declining ranking trend in the recent years. Still it has managed to stop in the Top 50 Universities Worldwide.

Each year, there are 300+active clubs on-campus at NYU.
