Pratt Institute has a relatively moderate acceptance rate of 73% and admission to the university is simple for students who perform better than average. The university selects applicants for its programme in a very relaxed manner and takes a comprehensive approach to admission. Students with high GPAs, stellar grades throughout high school and college, and an equivalent amount of extracurricular are given preference at Pratt University.

Pratt Institute expects a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7 from its students to enroll in the programs. Along with GPA scores, students must fulfill the basic eligibility requirement that includes a high school completion from UG students and a bachelor's degree from a PG student. They must submit official transcripts from all the schools/colleges attended, letters of recommendation, statements of purpose, English language requirements, and more.

The acceptance rate of Shelton State Community College is 100%. This indicates that every applicant who satisfies the college's minimal admission requirements is admitted. Because Shelton State has an open admissions policy, a wider spectrum of students, including those who do not have typical academic backgrounds, can more easily attend education.
