IIT Kanpur offer scholarships to meritorious students. The institute offers Merit-cum-Means, Free Basic Mess and Donor Scholarships.
Merit-cum-Means Scholarship
Students receive full tuition waiver, and pocket allowance of INR 1,000 per month for the duration of the program. This is merit cum means based scholarship; hence, the recipients must maintain a minimum CPI of 6.5.
Donor Scholarships
The institute provides Donor Scholarships to meritorious and needy students.

Aspirants must pass BTech or BE or BArch (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in Class 12) or four-year BSc Engineering degree (with Mathematics as one of the subjects), or four-year BSc degree (with Mathematics as one of the subjects), or MSc (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the UG programme), or Master of Arts in Economics (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the UG programme) with at least 60% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST) or a CPI of 6.0 (5.0 for SC/ ST) on a scale of 10 from any AICTE recognised institute/ university, IITs, NITs, and IIITs to apply for IIT Kanpur MBA course.

IIT Kanpur MBA total tuition fee ranges between INR 2.8 Lacs and INR 13.1 Lacs as per an unofficial source. The fee excludes admission fee, security deposits, semester fee and hostel charges. There is relaxation in fee for reserved category students. Candidates need to pay fee after completion of the selection rounds, to confirm their seat.
Apart from the tuition fee, aspirants need to register with an application fee in the start of the admission process. The application fee is INR 1,600 for General/ OBC (NCL) candidates. The fee is low (INR 800) for SC/ ST/ DAP candidates.

Mahatma Gandhi application process for MBA has started with the registration process of CUET-PG. The first step is to register for the CUET-PG by visiting the official website of the exam.
