IIIT Allahabad is a tier 1 institute and IIIT Lucknow is a tier 3 institute. The academic session of IIIT Lucknow was started in 2015 by the mentor Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad campus. IIIT Allahabad is an autonomous institute whereas public-private institutions run IIIT Lucknow. In case of placements, both colleges have recorded 100% placement. Moreover, the average package offered by IIIT Lucknow was INR 26 LPA whereas IIIT Allahabad average package stood at INR 30.68 LPA.

No, Kashi Institute of Technology is not hard to get. However,
1- Admission to B.Tech and B.Pharm is done on the basis of JEE Main followed by UPTAC Counselling.
2- For B.Tech and B.Pharm lateral entry in KIT admission is done on the basis of LEET.
3- Candidate must have a Diploma in Engineering/Pharmacy or equivalent bachelor’s degree for eligibility in Lateral Entry program.
4- MBA programme seats are filled on the basis of CAT/MAT/KMET score.
5- For M.Tech. Courses, admission is done on the basis of GATE score.
6- Application process in the college starts in the month of April and candidate must apply separately for each cours

The institute has not released the placement report incorporating the overall data for the 2026 drive. However, the institute have disclosed the 2026 placement statistics till Phase I. As per the reports, over 250 recruiters participated and presented 1202 offers to the students. 1079 students were placed, of which 15 students have got international placements.
