Yes, the institute can call students with a CGPI greater than 8.0 from IITs/IIITs/IISERs Or other such institutions of National importance can be called directly for interactive/interview sessions. Hence, these students have a chance of getting admission directly without any entrance examination.

The total tuition fee for PhD programmes sums up to INR 1.8 lakh. The total fee at the time of admission will be higher as other fee components will also be added. Further, it must be noted that the given fee is as per the data curated from some unofficial sources. Hence, is subject to changes. Candidates can also visit the IIITA website (iiita.ac.in) for more details related to the fee structure.

Candidates taking admission to an MTech programme shall have a valid BE/BTech degree in a relevant discipline with at least 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ST) from a recognised university. The candidates wanting to pursue M.Tech from IIITA need to take the GATE exam. Candidates with a valid GATE score are called for the CCMT Counselling rounds based on cutoff marks. Candidates with at least 80 percentile can have a good chance of getting selected for an MBA at IIITA. However, the cutoff marks change every year and hence it can vary. The students who have appeared for other management exams such as XAT/CMAT/MAT as well can submit their best scores at the time of form filling.
