Yes, you can apply for the NET or SET exam.
The UGC NET and CSIR NET exam are national level exams, on the other hand, SET exam is a state level exam.
Both NET and SET exam are held for the same purpose that is for the selection of assistant professor posts and junior research fellowship.
The candidates who have Master's degree with more than 55% marks from the recognized university can apply for the UGC NET exam.
There is no age bar for lectureship but age should be less than 30 years for JRF.
The UGC published the list of approved universities on its website. You can check online if the university is approved or not?

Eligibility Qualification: Postgraduation Entrance Test
Other eligibility criteria:
Candidates must have 50% marks or an equivalent grade in any of the following programs: B.Ed / BA B.Ed / B.Sc B.Ed /B.EI.Ed/D.EI.Ed with an undergraduate/postgraduate degree (with 50% marks in each) or any equivalent grade.
Final year appearing candidate can also apply on provisional basis.
Admission Process:
Entrance Test
Eligible candidates need to appear for BHU Postgraduate Entrance Test (BHU PET) conducted by the university.

Hi, Candidates must have passed the graduation level exam or post graduation level examination with at least 50% marks from any institute/university recognized by the parliament or state legislature. Candidates will have to apply through the application form which will be available on the official website of the university. The following categories shall be eligible for admission to B.Ed. Programme- (a) Trained in-service teachers in elementary education in the schools located within U.P. (b) candidate who have completed an NCTE recognized Teacher Education Programme through Face-to-Face mode and are residents of U.P. But in a case of In-service teacher he has to work as a teacher in the school during the programme otherwise his/her admission shall be treated as cancelled without any notice.
