For admissions to the UG, PG and Ph.D programmes offered by Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, candidates are shortlisted through Uttar Pradesh Combined Agriculture and Technology Entrance Test (UP-CATET) 2017, conducted by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology.
Note:Only Uttar Pradesh State Domicile candidates are eligible for appearing in all courses except MBA (Agri. Business) through UP-CATET 2017. However, in the MBA program, the candidates from other states may also apply.
Key Points regarding UPCATET 2017:
For UG and PG programmes, the entrance examination comprises of 200 objective type MCQs to be answered within a time duration of three hours (180 minutes)
In case of Ph.D programme, the test shall be of two hours (120 minutes) duration consisting of 100 objective type MCQs carrying 300 marks
Final admission of the students will be done based on the cut-off percentage of marks. For General & OBC category candidates, the cut-off percentage marks in UPCATET is 20% whereas for SC & ST candidates, the minimum required aggregate is 10%
Students will be allotted seats according to their rank in the merit list based on the entrance examination scores
As per the candidates rank in the merit list, students will be intimated for counselling. The counselling letters should be downloaded from the official examination website
Candidates should report at the counselling centre as per the given schedule along with the relevant documents and required.
