No, the National Institute of Fashion Technology Kolkata, like all other NIFT campuses, does not offer direct admission. Admission to NIFT is solely based on the performance of candidates in the NIFT entrance exam. This rigorous examination evaluates the aptitude, creative skills, and knowledge of aspiring fashion designers and professionals. It is the only accepted exam for admission to NIFT Kolkata, ensuring a fair and competitive selection process for all applicants across various undergraduate, postgraduate, and Diploma courses in the field of fashion and design.

Admission to the National Institute of Fashion Technology Kolkata is not determined by your Class 12 board exam percentage. Meeting the passing criteria for your 12th grade is sufficient for eligibility. NIFT primarily evaluates candidates based on their performance in the entrance exams, not their 11th or 12th-grade marks. Therefore, your chances of admission are primarily dependent on how well you perform in the NIFT entrance exams rather than your academic scores. This approach ensures that candidates are assessed based on their creative and design aptitude rather than traditional academic achievements.
