Give preference to NIT for CSE. Because placements in Mechanical are not satisfactory in any college. However if you are getting ECE or IT in IITs than think about the IITs.

I feel there is no constant figure for selection. There are factors like academics, excellence in extra curricular activities, work experience along with cat score. But I guess 70 percentile would be good for admission.

At present, its ranking may not be jaw-dropping, however, within a few years, it should slowly and steadily emerge as India's preferred business school. The highest package of 12 LPA and the average salary of 9.05 LPA. MDI Murshidabad is also becoming a favorite among recruiters, especially in the East.
