No, students cannot join SRM IST without entrance exam. For admissions into any course, students must appear for the exam. They can visit the college website for further information. Naturally, older IITs like IIT Kharagpur have a vast alumni network and much higher salary packages, with peaks reaching over INR 2 crore, compared to Dharwad's the highest package of approximately INR 40-52 LPA. However, for an average student, IIT Dharwad provides competitive median salaries around INR 11.62 LPA, which is strong.
