Instead of government, I believe that you must try in privately or jointly run medical colleges. Though the privately run colleges have quite high fees, starting from 4 LPA (tuition fees) in a common scenario. Still chances are very less. So I'd suggest you try to go with the idea that you must do better next year.

Hello,
For preparation of entrance exam of political science like JNU MA, you should take help from some basic guidelines -
Note down the syllabus and exam pattern of the exam.
Get some top quality study material for preparation.
Make a routine for study and follow it strictly.
Solve previous year papers.
Make short notes.
Candidates can also appear in National Eligibility Test in Political Science subject after pursuing masters to become a lecturer.

With your category rank you might get a chance in Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College (in IT).
Well, I think you must try for other government colleges as the seats are too less. You may try Purulia Government Engineering College, Coochbehar Government Engineering College, etc.

You may try your luck in IT, in case you are from general category. As for IT, the closing rank goes up to 2000GMR in Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College.
