IEM is anyway better than Heritage, be it in terms of placement or in terms of quality of teaching. Also, people prefer IEM as it is the best private engineering college in West Bengal.

No university can guarantee a placement, not even the top universities. A good university might help you in getting a good placement depending on the number of companies visiting campus.
Neotia is an average university with not so good placements and faculty members, would recommend you to opt for some other better university.

That is actually an excellent planning. We have our own placement cell in Xavier's, giving job opportunities to people with flying marks.
You will have a good placement if you really work hard.
The competition in St. Xavier's is pretty high. But I'm sure you are going to make it through.
