BP Poddar Institute Kolkata offers entrance-based admission. To be eligible for admission candidates, must fulfill the eligibility criteria to get admission. For instance, UG candidates must have completed their Class 12 and PG applicants must have a UG degree. Additionaly, candidates must apply and appear for the entrance exam accepted by the university. The college accepts various entrance exam scores which include WBJEE, JEE Main, MAKAUT CET, JECA, PGET and others.

BP Poddar Institute Kolkata accepts various entrance exams for admission to UG and PG courses. The entrance exam includes MAKAUT CET, PGET, WBJECA, JEE Main, WBJEE, JELET. Additionaly, candidates are also required to complete the basic eligiblity i.e. pass Class 12 for UG courses and pass graduation degree for PG courses before applying for admission. After all the procedure, candidates are required to apply to the official website of the college and fill out the admission form.
