Along with the CUET (PG), the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) in Aizawl administers the computer-based IIMC Entrance Exam on behalf of NTA. The admission process for PG Diploma courses through the IIMC Entrance Exam has been concluded. PG Diploma courses are available in two specialisations at IIMC Aizawl. IIMC releases the merit list for these courses. As for the merit list, candidates can visit Shiksha and the official website of IIMC. For the Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism (English) in the years 2022 and 2023, the IIMC Entrance Exam Last Round Closing Rank (General-All India) is 770 and 4338, respectively. 

Two specialisations are offered by IIMC Aizawl in its postgraduate Diploma programmes. During the admissions process, the applicant's overall academic standing matters. The results of the IIMC PG entrance exam determine admissions. The cut off may vary year to year based on many factors. Candidates must be enrolled in or have finished their bachelor's degree programme at an approved institution or university, or they must have passed their graduation test, in order to be eligible for admission to the PG Diploma programme at IIMC Aizawl. The results of the CUET PG exam are taken into account for admission at IIMC Aizawl.

As IIMC Aizawl offers PG Diploma courses, the marks of graduation will be taken into consideration rather than the 12th marks. However, total academic scores are also important during the admissions process. If you scored 60% in class 12, you might have partially qualified the criteria. The basic eligibility criteria for joining the PG Diploma course at IIMC Aizawl is that the candidates must have passed their graduation or must be appearing for the year or semester examination of their bachelor’s degree from a recognised institute or university. The age of the candidate must not exceed a maximum of 25 years.
