UEM Kolkata is a private university established in 2015. The admission is entrance-based for most of the courses. It offers UG, PG and Diploma courses in multiple streams such as Management, Engineering, Humanities, Computer Applications, etc. For UEM Kolkata admission, candidates are required to appear for IEMJEE, CAT, MAT, WB JEMAT, etc. for the respective courses. Thus 60% in Class 12th is a reasonable score but to get accepted into a particular programme you need to clear the UEM entrance test.

For admission to a BTech course at NSHM Knowledge Campus Durgapur, candidates must have passed Class 12 with minimum 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for reserved categories) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects. Admission to this course is completely entrance-based. Eligible students are selected based on merit in the WBJEE/JEE Main. Candidates seeking admission to BTech (lateral), need to apply with a valid WBJELET score.
