On exam day, you need to bring with you the NID that 2023 admit card and a valid photo ID proof. No candidate will be allowed inside the NID DAT 2023 exam venue unless they carry these documents.
The list of documents accepted for ID proof will be mentioned on the admit card. Typically, the candidate may carry Aadhaar card, driving license, and passport, as ID proof. But do ensure that the ID proofs are valid.

The details of the NID that 2023 exam centre, including the name, address, and reporting time will be notified to the candidate through the NID that 2023 admit card. The that Mains admit card for the B. Des programme is available from on April 14, 2023. The candidate after downloading the admit card needs to carefully go through the information mentioned in it, including the allotted exam center, exam timings, reporting time, etc. Note that candidates who arrive at the exam center after the reporting time mentioned in the admit card may face undue difficulties. The NID DAT Mains 2023 exam for the B. Des programme was conducted in the following cities - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Gandhinagar, Kolkata & Kurukshetra. The candidate was given the option to select the exam city between April 3 (4 pm) to April 5 (4 pm). The details of the exam centre, including name and address and reporting time were mentioned on the NID DAT 2023 admit card. The NID DAT 2023 (Prelims) exam was conducted in 22 cities across India. The candidate had to select their choice of exam centre at the time of filling out the NID DAT 2023 application form.

The Mains exam for the B. Des programme will be conducted offline in the following cities - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Gandhinagar, Kolkata & Kurukshetra. The candidate was given the option to select test cities between April 3-5, 2023. The allotment of exam city was done on a first-come, first-served basis. The details of the NID that 2023 exam centre allocated to the candidate will be mentioned in the of the NID that 2023 (Mains) admit card. Earlier, the National Institute of Design released the list of NID that 2023 exam centres for that Prelims through the Admission Handbook for the B. Des and M.Des programs.

The NID that exam is conducted in two stages - that Prelims and that Mains. Candidates who qualify that Prelims has to next appear in that Mains. The shortlisting for that Mains is done on the basis of scores obtained by candidates in the that Prelims exam. The that Prelims scorecard, along with section-wise scores, also contains the qualifying status of the candidate. Candidates who status says "qualified" can appear in that Mains.

The National Institute of Design conducted the DAT Mains exam separately for the B. Des and M.Des programs. The DAT Mains exam for the B. Des program was conducted on April 30, 2023. Meanwhile, DAT Mains for the M.Des program was held from March 20 onward. The DAT Mains exam for the B. Des program comprises a Studio Test that was conducted in a center-based mode. The NID DAT 2026 admit card will carry the following like the application number, Candidate's name, Roll number, Date of birth, Name of the course applied for admission, Reporting time for exam, Date of exam, Exam duration, GATE closing time, Test center code, NID DAT test centre address, Photograph, and Signature. Additionally, it will also contain the Dos and Donts for candidates inside the exam venue. Aadhaar is one of the valid photo id proofs that candidates can produce as identity proof. But exam officials will also accept other government ids like Driving License, Passport, etc. The list of acceptable ids will be mentioned on the NID DAT 2023 admit card. The security personal at the NID DAT exam center will verify the documents before allowing the candidate entry inside the exam center. Any candidate who fails to produce the admit card and id proof will not be allowed to take the that Mains exam.

The candidate will not be allowed to enter the exam venue without a printout of the NID DAT admit card; note that digital copies of the admit card will not be accepted.

So, on the day of the exam, you will need both: 1) a printout of the admit card and 2) original photo ID proof.

Note that photocopies or digital copies of the photo ID proof will not be accepted.

The admit card will contain exam-day guidelines; carefully go through these guidelines to ensure that your exam day is smooth and stress-free.
