
NICC Entrance Exam 2025 - The National Institute of Creative Communication (NICC) started the NICC 2025 application process. The application is open, and the last date has not been declared by the institute yet. What is NICC Entrance Exam?
NICC entrance exam is conducted by the National Institute of Creative Communication (NICC) to admit candidates to the integrated design courses offered by the college. Candidates who have NID Entrance Exam scores are eligible for direct admission and are not required to sit in the exam. They only need to submit documentation of having passed the NID Entrance Exam. The NICC Entrance Test used to be conducted in three phases – NICC Aptitude Test, Interview, and Portfolio Assessment. The courses offered at NICC are given below:

NICC Entrance Exam Application Form 2025
The application process has started for NICC 2025. The step-wise process to fill out the form is given below:
Step 1: Fill NICC Entrance Exam Application Form Online
Go to the admission portal and click on 'Apply Now. ' Correctly fill in all the required fields. After that, Candidates will immediately be taken to a page that confirms that the application has been sent. They will also be given a link on the confirmation page to download the full Application Form. They may also receive a call from the NICC Admissions Officer, and the admissions officer will guide them as to the next step.
Step 2: Fill out the detailed form and pay the application fee
Candidates will have to fill out the detailed application form and pay the application fee in online mode. The application fee is INR 3,000. Candidates who wish to apply for more than one course need to fill out separate application forms for each course.
Step 3: Fill NICC Letter of Intent
Next, candidates need to draft the NICC Letter of Intent (LOI). This is a mandatory document that needs to be filled out by each aspirant, irrespective of the course for which he/she has applied. An LOI can be drafted by including the following information:
- Reason for joining the programme
- Reason for joining NICC
- Profession a candidate wishes to join after completing a course from NICC
- If a candidate wishes to study further, which course would he/ she join and in which college
- Reason for pursuing a creative stream
- Strengths a candidate possesses that are relevant to his/ her programme of choice
- Any award won by a candidate related to the course he/ she is applying for
It may be noted that an LOI needs to be filled in a candidate’s own handwriting and signed by a parent/ guardian. Once the LOI is filled out, candidates need to submit it along with the NICC entrance exam application form.

Candidates can go through the eligibility criteria for the NICC entrance exam for each course below:
NICC Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses: All candidates who have passed Class XII or equivalent from any stream are eligible to apply for NICC entrance exam for admission in integrated UG design programmes.
NICC Eligibility Criteria for PG Courses: The eligibility criteria for the NICC entrance exam is different for different postgraduate combination design courses offered at the National Institute of Creative Communication (NICC). The NICC entrance exam eligibility criteria for admission in PG design courses are given below:

NICC Entrance Exam 2025 Admission Process
Candidates seeking admission to the National Institute of Creative Communication have to follow the process described below:
Step 1: Fill in the NICC application form
Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria for their chosen program must register and fill in the NICC application form, including payment of the application fees. Admit cards will be issued to successfully registered candidates.
Step 1: Appear for the NICC Entrance Exam
Admissions will be given based on portfolios submitted and/or video interviews. Portfolio submission will be online, and the interviews will also be conducted online via video-calling. The details of the interview, such as the timings and how to carry out the video call, will be communicated to candidates by the admissions officer.
Step 2: Check NICC Results
Selected candidates will be informed by phone and email, which they provided at the time of registration. At this time, candidates will be required to confirm admission by payment of INR.20,000/- by online transfer to NICC. Bank account details will be given in the confirmation email. This payment will 'lock' the seat for the selected candidate.
NICC Entrance Exam Syllabus
Questions asked in the interview round are typically based on candidates' ambitions, academic and professional objectives, understanding of the structure and operational framework of NICC, and understanding of the programs offered at NICC. As far as the portfolio is concerned, candidates must refer to the following points while submitting their portfolio:
- For UG candidates: The portfolio of candidates applying for UG courses should consist of work such as drawings, paintings, sketches (digital or hand-made), collages, sculpture, design concepts, photographs, animation, hand-crafted objects, design models, computer artwork, web presentations, videos, scripts, articles, poems, and so on.
- For PG candidates: The portfolio of candidates applying for PG courses should mainly consist of work that is relevant to the integrated design program they have applied for. However, candidates can also include some other creative work, just as candidates applying for UG courses.
