To apply for the M.Tech course at Institute of Technical Education and Research admission, the candidate needs to meet the last educational qualification. Aspirants should pass BTech or equivalent in the relevant field. Obtained at least 60% marks (50% in case of candidate belongs to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination or MSc in Computer Science / IT.

The candidates can choose from offered specialisations i.e., Computer Science, Civil, Electrical, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering.
