Congratulations for your score, but it is tough to get admission. Placement in CSE in CSAB councelling is difficult as it is one of the top NITs, all the best though.

The placement is nearly 100% for CSE and IT department in IEM. The other branches like mechanical, ECE, and EEE also have the good placement. Overall, the placement record is better than many colleges in West Bengal. TCS, Wipro, and Infosys are the mass recruiters on the campus. Adobe hired a girl at 44 lacs per annum as the salary this year.

In B.Tech, you have to study all the engineering subjects, But if you opt for B.Tech Hons. Then you have to study only one of the engineering subjects in more depth. So, in B.Tech you have to study all the subjects given by colleges. But in B.Tech Hons. You have to study only one subjects which you like the most and you get specialisation only in one subjects.
