BCA is an undergraduate degree course in computer applications of 3 years duration. After completing BCA, a student can go for MCA which is a Master's degree course in computer application and is considered equivalent to engineering course (B.Tech).

College doesn't affect knowledge. You can gain programming language knowledge even from the internet as well. So don't think about that. Just go and read about it.
