To be eligible for MCA at JNU:

You must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline (i.e. B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, BCA, B.E./B.Tech, etc.) from a recognised university under the 10 + 2 + 3 (or equivalent) pattern. 

You must have “adequate competence in Mathematics” — i.e. mathematics should have been studied either at the 10+2 level or during graduation (depending on your undergrad background) to qualify.

Your aggregate marks in the qualifying degree (undergraduate) must be at least 55% (for general / unreserved category).

For reserved categories (SC / ST / OBC / PWD / others as per applicable norms), there may be relaxation in the minimum marks criterion in accordance with regulatory/University guidelines.

First, you must register for and appear in CUET‑PG via the official CUET portal (run by National Testing Agency, NTA). 

After the exam, you'll get a CUET‑PG application / registration number and your CUET score.

Register on NEHU's admission portal using your CUET‑PG number

If you want admission to NEHU's Tura Campus MCA, you must fill out NEHU's online admission form. 

While filling in the NEHU form, you need to provide your CUET‑PG application number (and other relevant details) as required. 

Pay the admission application fee

For PG (CUET) courses at NEHU, there is an application fee: as per recent prospectus: ₹800 (general) and ₹400 (SC/ST) for PG courses.

Payment is done online (Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking). 

Submit required documents & keep printouts

After submitting the online form, download and keep a hard copy of the application for reference.

At the time of admission (if selected), you'll need to present original certificates / mark‑sheets / eligibility proofs. 

Wait for merit list / seat allotment

NEHU will consider your CUET‑PG performance (and any other eligibility criteria) for admission to MCA at Tura.

If selected, you'll get information for counselling / admission formalities.

Recent placement data shows MCA students at RVCE have been getting job offers: for 2025–2024 batches, there were offers and placements recorded.

Typical / recent figures: the highest package for MCA placements ~ ₹ 20 LPA, average/median ~ ₹ 8.94–9.5 LPA.

The number of recruiters visiting for MCA is non-trivial (e.g. some years ~ 35 companies) which suggests there are opportunities.
