Network Engineer, Network Technician, IT Engineer, system Security specialist, IT Administrator, System Manager, Data Administrator, database Manager are the job profiles. Work of Data administrator is to check that the software used to manage a database is properly maintained to allow fast access. Work of Data managers is to handle database systems. They create ideas, policies, procedures and give tasks to other employees. Work of Database developer includes monitoring, troubleshooting and debugging databases to solve any sort of performance issues.

The admission into the Bachelor database course is based on the entrance examination. There is no such particular exam conducted for this course. The candidates have to give the common entrance tests conducted by the particular institutes. IPU CET is an entrance exam conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University for admission into various UG and PG courses offered by the institute. The database management system is a module in the MCA programme. Master course particularly on the database are not available. BIT MCA is a university level entrance examination conducted by BIT Mesra for admission into MCA courses offered by various branches. NIMCET is a national level entrance examination conducted by NIT Surathkal for admission into MCA courses available at various NIT across India.

The DBM will be interacting with all staff at all levels, thus they must possess the necessary interpersonal abilities. He or she will also need to interact with your database vendor and be able to express precisely what assistance is required. A good DBM is aware that the database and the information it holds are tools, not ends in and of itself. Technical skills are also important. A good DBM will understand how to utilise the database, be able to use the system, and have a clear understanding of how various components relate to one another.
