Unlike the B.Tech / B.E. Course in Computer Science and Engineering or Information technology students aspiring for a BCA course do not need to have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in their Class 12th examinations. Students from the field of arts and commerce are equally eligible for joining the course as the ones from the Science background. However, Any student completed higher secondary (10+2) with Math as a compulsory subject and computer as an elective/compulsory in 10+2 will be given an advantage. Some universities/colleges conduct an entrance exam to take admission in the BCA course. But Most of the colleges or Universities normally enrolled students based on their marks in 10th and 10+2. It is better to pursue B.Tech with specialisation in Mechatronics.
